If you live in Harmony Club, Timnath Ranch, Trailside, or the surrounding Timnath area, you may have heard about the proposed Century Pad oil and gas project.
As Northern Colorado continues to grow and evolve, being informed about local developments is an important part of being involved in our community. Here’s a brief overview of the project, where it stands, and how residents can learn more.
What Is the Century Pad Project?
Verdad Resources has proposed an oil and gas development that would include 22 horizontal wells at a drilling site south of Harmony Road and east of Weld County Road 15.
The proposed site is located east of several Timnath neighborhoods, including Harmony Club and Timnath Ranch. Although the drilling equipment would be concentrated at one location, the wells would extend horizontally underground.
The accompanying map provides a general illustration of the proposed location in relation to nearby communities.
Where Does the Project Stand?
Weld County approved the proposal at the county level in October 2026. However, the project still requires authorization from the Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) before drilling can proceed.
The state review process evaluates the project’s technical and environmental requirements, including proposed measures to limit impacts on surrounding areas.
As of October 20, 2026, final state approval has not been granted.
What Could Residents Expect?
Like many large development projects, the Century Pad proposal has prompted questions about construction activity, traffic, noise, and air quality.
Verdad Resources has proposed measures intended to reduce potential disturbances, including electric-powered drilling equipment, sound barriers, and designated truck routes.
The extent of any impact on nearby neighborhoods will depend on the final approved plans, the location of individual properties, and the operating conditions established by regulators.
