- Colorado State University in Fort Collins has specialized curriculum in numerous areas, such as infectious diseases, atmospheric science programs, clean energy technologies, and the environmental sciences.
- University of Colorado in Boulder is another excellent choice. Exciting things are happening at CU-Boulder, including the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics being selected by NASA to lead a “$485 million orbiting space mission proposed to launch in 2013 to probe the past climate of Mars, including its potential for harboring life over the ages.”
There are also the options of the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, as well as Front Range Community College, Regis and Aims Community College. Environmentalists attending UNC will appreciate its eco-friendly addition of solar panels to McKee Hall to help reduce its energy use, made possible through a $10,000 grant from the Governor’s Energy Office. The world-class faculty and lower cost of tuition helps students and parents feel they are getting more for their money.
